Israel-Gaza ceasefire talks resume in Doha

Main hurdles to achieve talks:

High stakes mediators making efforts to talk for a Gaza ceasefire between Hamas and Israel held to take meeting in Doha. Hamas political wing Party ruling in Gaza denied to take part this peace talk. Egypt, Qatar and United States are performing their role as mediators and will render up ceasefire framework and give suggestions how to implement hostages release deal

The ceasefire deal was proposed by United States president Joe Biden in late May but not reached to any agreement as the Prime Minister Benjamin Netan Yahu disagreed with deal.

According to CNN reporters:

Israel is ready to set ceasefire talks with Hamas and sending delegation in Doha including CIA directors Bill Burns, Mossad Chief David Barnea and mediator Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammad bin Jassim Al Thani and Egyptian intelligence Head Abbas Kamel.

Assassination of Ismael Haniyeh:

The chances of peace talk was considering to reach an advanced stage but after the assassination of Ismael Haniyeh in Tehran, political leader of Hamas wing ruling in Gaza and top commander of Hezbollah Fuad Shukr caused distortion in peace talk and would thrive the chances of regional conflict in Middle East as Iran and its proxies Hezbollah, The Lebanese Militant group vowed to vengeance this attack and will launch the direct assault on Israel. Iran imposed accusation of killing the Ismael but officially Israel didn’t claim or denied the accusation of killing Ismael.

Hamas stance about peace talk:

‘Our stance is crystal clear. We will not participate in negotiation. We just want implementation of agreement. If there would be a real and authentic development and positive response from Israel then we willing to talk through mediators.

Biden’s proposal about talks:

In May Biden rendered up the 3-phase strategy that Hamas would release a pair of hostages from Gaza and in exchange Israel release Palestinian hostages being held in the custody and stop complete brutal bombing. The first phase would be implement for six weeks and make sure withdrawal of Israeli Armed Forces and would release hostages including women the wounded and elderly.

Phase 2:

It includes the exchanging of all remaining and permanent truce.

Phase 3:

Final remaining hostages who were killed in bombardment will return to their families and extent reconstruction framework would start in Gaza.

But the implementation process could not be started and from the start of the war Palestinians people are facing the catastrophic casualties and being tortured with mentally and physically facing the starving phase due to children are in malnourished condition. Sewage and medical system has been completely devastated due to bombing.

Hamas launched the assault on Israel via border in which more than 1200 Israeli were killed, 250 were taken captives and now it is not sure how many are still alive.

Qatar and Egypt mediators:

Qatar and Egypt act as mediators between Israel and Hamas in dreary negotiations providing information to the warring parties. Spokesperson of State, Deputy of Department Vedant Patel said that the Qatari officials make sure that they are the representatives of Hamas.

John Kirby statement:

Spokesman of National security United States said in a statement that our stance is to implement the potential agreement but still there are many restrictions which we have to overcome and Thursday talks expected to continue Friday. We are hopeful that we will reach at an agreement. In Thursday talk Hamas didn’t participate as the meeting held in Doha.

Both Hamas and Israeli officials put blame each other that they create restrictions to implement the peace talk. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netan yahu is persisted to take indefinite control of the Philadelphia route while Hamas want to implement the late July agreement in which the total withdrawal of IDF from all the populated area of Gaza.
